5000 meters of tape (the finale). Dot Howard and Deb Hoy. 2004

Taped and Sealed Flow was a project devised by myself and sculptor Deb Hoy (under the name D'Dart), in collaboration with the Royal Festival Hall's Education Department. The work we made was in response to  the impending redevelopment of the South Bank Centre. Deb made a beautiful water sculpture entitled 'Sealed Flow' and I devised 15 performances of 'Taped' over the course of one month. For the grand finale we taped the entire building and encouraged members of the public entering and leaving it to "perform" in a cutting of the ribbon ceremony.
